Immune Boosting Broth
This broth is perfect for the winter. This immune boosting broth is both anti-inflammatory and rich with antioxidants with shiitake mushrooms, sea veggies and miso paste.
Ingredients
5L water
1 oz kombu
4 oz dried shiitake mushrooms
250g white miso paste
⅓ cup tamari
Yield: 4L
Directions
Weigh kombu and shiitakes and place them in a large pot. Add water and bring water to a low simmer for 1 ½ hours.
Remove kombu and shiitakes.
Continue to simmer on medium-low for about a half hour. Remove from heat.
In a bowl, place miso and enough broth to dissolve the miso. Add this miso mix and and tamari to the broth and combine well.
Turn it up a notch by adding your favourite veggies, noodles and protein to the broth.
